Look into racial profiling. It has EVERYTHING to do with who the person is, who the alleged victim was, who the officer is. Discrimination is present in every issue. Just as a homophobic person will look at you differently, a racist will look at someone of color on death row differently. Gay, black, poor, etc. = discrimination.
Yes, but the entire issue isn’t based on discrimination. The entire issue of gay marriage is based on a hatred of one group. There are a lot of other factors that come into play when it comes to gun control or the death penalty. I know about the racial make-up of people on death row. And I’m not denying discrimination plays a part in it, because it does, but discrimination usually lies in the arrest and conviction of a person, not at the heart of the argument over whether the death penalty should be legal or not
